The Great Pine Cone Drop

Since the turn of the millennium, The Great Pinecone Drop has been the Weatherford’s signature annual New Year’s Eve celebration, drawing thousands to downtown Flagstaff to count down the new year beneath our beautiful, illuminated pinecone. Guests can enjoy three countdowns, often followed by fireworks:

• Family-Friendly Drop – 12pm
• East Coast Drop – 10pm
• Classic Midnight Drop – 12am

Inspired by Flagstaff’s location in the world’s largest ponderosa pine forest, The Pine Cone Drop has become one of Arizona’s most recognizable holiday traditions and has earned national recognition as one of the country’s top New Year’s Eve countdown events.

Boutique Room Bookings
Spend New Year’s Eve in style by booking one of the Weatherford’s seventeen boutique hotel rooms. Each reservation includes two Golden Tickets to the exclusive “All That Glitters” celebration in the Zane Grey Ballroom.

A La Carte Golden Tickets
Just 100 Golden Tickets for “All That Glitters” will be sold outside of room bookings. These tickets grant access to the Zane Grey Bar, Ballroom, and Balcony beginning at 8pm

Fine-Dining Dinner at Charly’s
Before the evening’s festivities, Charly’s Pub & Grill will offer a limited-seating, multi-course holiday dinner, seated at 5:30pm, 7pm, and 8:30pm.

Live Music in Charly’s & the Gopher Hole
Throughout the night, guests can enjoy a live blues jam in Charly’s and Flagstaff’s disco-funk favorites in the Gopher Hole.
